Be Part of PDEX Development

PDEX is currently in active development as a national education initiative designed to strengthen Parkinson’s care across Australia.

We are working with clinicians, academics and people with lived experience to build practical, evidence-based education that supports real-world healthcare settings.

We invite you to contribute your expertise.

How You Can Be Involved

There are several ways to support the development of PDEX:

Join as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)

We are seeking clinicians and sector leaders who can:

  • Review and refine draft module content
  • Ensure alignment with current clinical standards
  • Contribute case studies and real-world examples
  • Provide insight into discipline-specific practice needs

Contribute to Co-Design

We welcome input from:

  • Health professionals across primary and allied care
  • Parkinson’s nurse specialists
  • Rural and remote clinicians
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health professionals
  • People living with Parkinson’s and carers

Your perspective will help ensure the program is practical, inclusive and responsive to diverse community needs.

Participate in Pilot Testing

Selected participants will have the opportunity to review modules, videos and webinars before national launch and provide structured feedback to strengthen quality and usability.

Built-In Evaluation

Evaluation is integrated into the program design. PDEX incorporates structured pre- and post-learning assessment, including validated tools such as PAM® and CS-PAM®, to measure changes in clinician confidence and patient activation.
This ensures the program delivers measurable outcomes and supports continuous improvement.

Register Your Interest

If you would like to contribute as a subject matter expert, advisor or pilot participant, we encourage you to register your interest.

Your expertise can help shape a national education program that strengthens Parkinson’s care for clinicians and for the people they support.
